The 25th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry was a Worcester County unit, organized at Camp Lincoln, Worcester, Mass., in the autumn of 1861. It served as part of the Burnside expedition to the coast of North Carolina, was assigned to the Star Brigade in 1864, and spent much of the war in the vicinity of New Bern, North Carolina.
